Outlines eligibility criteria necessary for the Nursing Home – Medication Aide Examination in North Carolina
The following outlines the eligibility criteria necessary for the North Carolina Medication Aide Examination for Nursing Homes:
- Active Status on the Nurse Aide I Registry:
All Candidates applying to take the Nursing Home -- Medication Aide examination in North Carolina MUST be active and in good standing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry - Application Requirement:
Candidates MUST complete the Application for Registration By Competency Examination form. The completed application, required fees, and a signed copy of your training completion certificate must be submitted. - Examination Attempts:
You have three (3) attempts to pass the Nursing Home -- Medication Aide Examination within two (2) years from the successful completion date of your training program. - Failure to Pass The Exam:
If you are not listed on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry for Nursing Homes within two (2) years from the successful completion date of the training program, then you will be required to repeat training and testing.
